Creative Lives (previously Voluntary Arts) works to support, promote, encourage and increase active participation in creative cultural activities of all forms. This includes everything from traditional amateur arts and crafts (singing, dancing, drama, knitting, painting, sewing) to wider forms of creativity such as digital arts, or expressing yourself in the kitchen or garden. They work across the UK and Republic of Ireland, with anyone who gets creative for the love of it, and also those who: help facilitate creative participation, fund it, and provide spaces for it to happen, as well as others who work alongside communities to support them in their creative endeavours. Creative Lives offers support with: Connecting – helping to make alliances and partnerships, and facilitate networking between creative groups and organisations; Influencing – representing, lobbying and advocating on behalf of the voluntary arts sector, at all levels; Developing – providing information, advice, training and events to bring people together and foster new relationships and connections.
