Alveley Primary is a rural school on the border between Shropshire and Staffordshire. Alveley Primary School has stood for almost 90 years, serving the local community and surrounding area. We are proud of the provision we provide for all our pupils, through our carefully structured curriculum, character education and curriculum enrichment, providing a holistic approach to learning. Whether through Forest School, frequent trips or in-school thematic days, we ensure the broadest range of experiences for all our pupils. We offer a Breakfast Club and After School Club. Breakfast club runs every day during school term times from Monday to Friday from 7.30am, remaining within the club until school starts. Those that attend can have a breakfast provided, with multiple choices available, alongside a chance to catch up with peers in a relaxed ‘homely’ environment. Board games and crafts are available to the children during these morning sessions. After School Club runs every day during school term times from Monday to Friday. The club starts at 3.15pm as school finishes and ends at 5.15pm. During the hour of 3.15-4.15pm, there are optional daily activities that the children can participate in for an extra cost. If you are wishing for your child to attend either or both, please contact our School Office. Little Squirrels is our Primary Schools nursery provision. We encourage independence and responsibility in our learners through the clear structures and routines in place in Nursery and Reception and develop good learning behaviours that prepare the children well for learning in KS1 and beyond. We are a welcoming self-contained learning environment within the main school with our own outdoor Classroom which the children have easy access to. We offer all day sessions from 8.45am – 3.15pm or half day sessions. There is also a provision for a hot lunch if requested. Children participate in regular forest school in our purpose-built forest area. Our Nursery is part of Alveley Primary School. We work closely with parents to involve them at every stage of the child’s development through Nursey and with transition on to main school.
