At Shrewsbury Prepatoria, we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which places the child at the heart of their own learning journey. This approach recognises children as capable, curious, and full of potential, encouraging exploration, creativity, and independent thinking. Our setting is guided by the founding principles of Love, Respect, and Quality, which shape everything we do and create a nurturing, supportive environment for every child and their family. These principles are underpinned by our five core values: Respect, Quality, Uniqueness, Educational Achievement, and a Professional Workforce. For parents and carers, this means becoming true partners in their child’s development—we welcome your involvement, value your insights, and maintain open, respectful communication. At Shrewsbury Prepatoria, we work together with families to ensure each child feels known, supported, and inspired every step of the way. At Shrewsbury Prepatoria, our offer to children with Special Educational Needs is rooted in a commitment to inclusion, understanding, and personalised support. We provide a nurturing environment where every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to thrive both academically and socially. Our experienced staff work closely with families and external specialists to identify needs early and implement tailored strategies that support learning and wellbeing. Through differentiated teaching, one-to-one or small group interventions, and a flexible curriculum, we ensure that all children can access a rich and stimulating education.
