We are an inclusive school, and our mission is to provide “A Quality Education for ALL for life”. We know our children well and provide the personal care each individual child needs. Children with special needs are supported as appropriate to their needs. This may mean teacher modifying their teaching to match the needs of the child; the child being supported in a small group, an intervention programme put into place to help with an area of the curriculum the child is struggling with or possibly 1:1 support, depending on the needs of the child. We all work well as a team across our three classes and all staff are aware of the needs of children with SEND. Miss Sarah Burgess is the SENDCo and along with Executive Headteacher we have a good understanding of the needs of each child and regularly monitor progress, attainment and the quality of teaching and behaviour to ensure all children have the support they need to reach their full potential and equip them with the skills they need to move onto the next stage of their education and adult life. Our aim is to ensure: • Children with SEND achieve their best • Children with SEND become confident individuals, living fulfilling lives. • Children to overcome learning barriers • All children access a broad and balanced curriculum • Staff are skilled to identify early children with SEND and inform and seek guidance from parents and support services. • There are high expectations of all children • The wellbeing, needs, learning and achievements of all individuals are celebrated. At our school, we understand that children’s early years are the most influential in their education as they set the foundation for all future learning. We provide an exciting, stimulating curriculum based on the principles of the EYFS framework. Our extensive gardens allows for active, inclusive learning all year round. We also have at least one forest school session per week. These are fabulous opportunities for children to explore, take risks and flourish in our woodland environmentRegistered For Nursery Grant YesFacilities Library Sensory Area, Disabled Toilet, Indoor Play Area, Ramps, Day Nursery, On-site Music and Dance, Soft Play Area, Quiet Area, Outdoor Play Area, Garden, Playroom, Allergies, Before-school Club, On-site Baby Facilities, Disabled Parking, Crafts, Wheelchair Access, IT Facilities, Religious/Cultural Provision, Downstairs Toilet, Healthy Eating, Cooking, Visits/Outings, Play Apparatus, After-school Club, On-site Accessible Parking Assistant We're sorry but <%= htmlWebpackPlugin.options.title %> doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled.
