The Melody Makers are a friendly, inclusive choir for ladies aged over 16, whose members are drawn from the local and surrounding areas. The choir has a varied repertoire and performs songs from musicals, sacred pieces, classical and popular music, and they can perform specific pieces upon request. They are regularly invited to perform at concerts, charity events and weddings, and are happy to collaborate with other choirs. They also stage their own concerts, and have open evenings where anyone interested can go along and join in with no obligation. Music is provided and soloists are always encouraged. Regular workshops are held both for the choir as a whole and can also be arranged for any soloists. The choir meets at Minsterley Methodist Chapel each Thursday evening from 7.15pm until 9pm, and new members are always most welcome, with no formal auditions necessary.
