Shrewsbury Handbells are a group of handbell ringers, living in the Shrewsbury area. Shrewsbury Handbells play a wide range of music and give concerts all over Shropshire raising money for charity. A different charity is chosen each year, and during 2020 the group raised money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. Our purposes are: to enjoy playing handbells and have fun making music to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for players of all ages and abilities to develop and enhance their musical skills to present handbells to as wide and varied an audience as possible in an entertaining and informative way, often with ‘hands on’ experience where appropriate to raise money for charity through our public and private concert programme.
