At St Andrews CE Primary School the safety and welfare of every child is of paramount importance. St Andrews Primary school is situated in the village of Nesscliffe and is a small, nurturing community where all pupils are welcomed and valued. Pupils enjoy learning about different faiths and cultures, which helps them to respect each other. We are part of the Westcliffe Federation. We offer wrap around care with a breakfast club available daily from 8am and an afterschool club available from 3.30pm until 5pm. Little Sparkles is the class of Nursery and Reception aged children. In our EYFS class, we believe that every child is unique and has the potential to achieve great things. Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where your child can thrive and develop a love for learning. In Little Sparkles, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which focuses on the individual needs and interests of each child. Through a play-based approach, we encourage children to explore, discover, and make sense of the world around them. Our curriculum is carefully planned and sequenced to ensure that children build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills across all areas of learning. We place a strong emphasis on developing children’s communication and language skills, as well as their early reading and phonics. We work in a well-resourced classroom and have a large outdoor area. The children will also have access to the school’s hall, library area and well-being room. We regularly use the outdoors area for our learning activities. This includes sessions in our wildlife area. We accept 3- & 4-year-old 15 & and 30 hours free nursery education. Our nursery is open 9am – 3pm and we offer morning sessions 9am – 12pm, afternoon sessions 12- 3pm or a full day 9am – 3pm.
