Landau is a supported employment and educational charity that transforms over 800 lives a year across the West Midlands by providing routes to employment, access to learning, social enterprise help and support for personal growth. It aims to provide people with learning disabilities or long-term health issues, the long-term unemployed and young people, with the skills and support they need to find sustainable employment.They offer:School Day Release – School Day release is aimed at year 10 and 11 pupils who will come into the centre a minimum of 1 day per week to gain a vocational qualification in Hair & Beauty or Construction. It has been created to work in collaboration with schools as an alternative provision for learners who want to achieve a vocational qualification.Access Programme – Access Programme is aimed at post 16 learners with an EHCP. It’s a personalised Programme to give learners the opportunity in gaining independence and confidence. Study Programme – Study Programme is aimed at post 16 learners; it is comprised of 15 learning hours per week over 3 days for 39 weeks. Provides a main aim qualification dependent on the students desired outcome of the programme. Requires students to work towards Functional skills in Maths and English (or other qualifications that will act as a stepping stone for achievement of these qualifications in time).Vocational Learning (Accredited and Non-Accredited) – Landau are an accredited centre for NOCN, Asdan and AQA for vocational qualifications and Functional Skills. Functional Skills are qualifications that are commonly needed for success in a range of activities in education, training, work and life in general.Supported Internships – Supported Internships are aimed at post 16 learners; who are ready to be supported into Employment. Supported internships are a structured study programme based primarily at an employer.
