The Bylet Bowling Club was founded in 1884 and plays Crown Green bowls on two greens. The Club occupies an island in the River Severn in Bridgnorth, and has eight different teams playing in a number of local leagues, including the Shropshire Premier League. During the close season they play indoor short mat bowls in the clubhouse, as well as offering other activities such as darts, dominoes, whist and bingo. They also hold a number of social functions throughout the year.
