Generations Study, formally known as Breakthrough Generations Study, investigates the causes of breast cancer. The study was launched in 2004 and has successfully recruited over 100,000 women of all ages. Every few years, participants are invited to fill in a follow-up questionnaire to see how the factors the study is investigating change over time, and to enable investigation of how changes in those factors affect breast cancer risk.
