Shropshire Libraries offer ‘behind the scenes’ tours of Shrewsbury Library – one of the town’s most historic buildings – previously Shrewsbury School until 1882, and then Grade I & II listed home to Shrewsbury’s public library since 1885. Tours are available from April to August, usually on the last Saturday of each month, from 10.30am to 11.30am. There is a small charge of £5 per person.
