Shropshire Libraries offer ‘behind the scenes’ tours of Shrewsbury Library – one of the town’s most historic buildings – previously Shrewsbury School until 1882, and then Grade I & II listed home to Shrewsbury’s public library since 1885. Tours are available from April to August, usually on the last Saturday of each month, from 10am to 11am. There is a small charge of £10 per person. Building tours are also usually available for Heritage Weekend in September (booking essential).
