Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICS) is a partnership of NHS and local government organisations, who alongside independent and voluntary sector groups, work to transform health and care services to meet the current and future needs of the county’s urban and rural communities. Integrated care involves giving people the support they need, joined up across the NHS, local councils, and other partners including social care providers, voluntary and community enterprise sector and charities. ICSs have four key purposes: improving outcomes in population health and healthcare; tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access; enhancing productivity and value for money; supporting broader social and economic development.
