Bridgnorth Library offers free Getting started with the NHS App sessions for anyone who would like a little help with how to set up and use the NHS App.The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. To use the NHS App you need to be registered with a GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man, and you must be aged 13 or over.You will need to prove who you are to get full access to the NHS App, but with full access you will be able to:view your NHS number (find out what your NHS number is);book and manage appointments;order repeat prescriptions and nominate a pharmacy where you would like to collect them;use NHS 111 online to answer questions and get instant advice or medical help near you;book and manage COVID-19 vaccinations;view your GP health record to see information like your allergies and medicines (if your GP has given you access to your detailed medical record, you can also see information like test results);choose how the NHS uses your data;register your organ donation decision.Sessions take place at Bridgnorth Library on one Wednesday morning each month, from 9.30am to 12noon, and a member of staff will be available to guide you through the process.For more information including a list of dates, please follow the link to visit the Shropshire Libraries website, or to book your place, contact the Library using the details provided.
