Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s Help at Home scheme provides support to older people, enabling them to maintain their independence at home for as long as possible, by providing practical assistance in a number of ways.The scheme employs a team of caring, well-trained Home Support Workers, who all hold a current DBS Check (Disclosure & Barring Service). These Home Support Workers will carry out everyday tasks that an older person may find difficult to manage. These might include:bathroom and kitchen cleaning,cleaning inside windows,dusting and vacuuming,gardening,laundry and ironing,shopping and collecting prescriptions.Anyone over the age of 60 may be eligible for this service.
