Shrewsbury Cantata Choir is a non-audition mixed choir of between 50 and 60 members, who enjoy making music to a high standard. Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays at 7.30pm at the URC (St Nicholas) Church Hall in Shrewsbury, and the choir present three concerts a year. Their aims as a charity are to encourage choral singing, to raise funds through giving concerts, which are then donated to selected charities to further their work, and to provide a friendly environment in which to make music.
