North Salop Wheelers Community Bus (“Wheelers”) is a community based transport service providing transport facilities in North East Shropshire for persons who have special needs because they are elderly, sick, poor or disabled. The Wheelers is a subscription service and all passengers must be registered in advance of travel. There is an annual subscription of £30 and, with a bus pass, travel is free thereafter. They offer three types of community transport service to assist those whose transport needs cannot be met by commercial provision: regular buses (notably Market Drayton and Whitchurch markets); individual journeys; group hires.
