Singing for the Brain from the Alzheimer’s Society, brings people together in a friendly, fun and social environment.Based around the principles of music therapy, the stimulating sessions include vocal warm-ups and singing a wide variety of familiar and new songs.Weekly sessions take place at The Beacon Centre in Market Drayton each Thursday afternoon, from 1.45pm to 3.15pm, in 10 session blocks. The first 30 minutes are for social engagement, followed by an hour of singing. There is a small charge of £2.50 per person, per session, which includes refreshments, and spaces must be booked in advance.
