The County of Salop Steam Engine Society is a not-for-profit organisation for anyone interested in the preservation and promotion of steam and vintage vehicles. The Society organises the annual Shrewsbury Steam Rally at Onslow Park, each August Bank Holiday weekend. The event has something for all the family, bringing together a wide range of steam engines and other attractions including a fairground, craft and model marquee, and trade stands. New members are always most welcome, and you don’t necessarily have to be involved in restoration to become a member.
