Climb, is a Diversionary Service. The Children’s Society and the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner are funding the unique programme to stop young people from being drawn into criminal activity including county lines and other forms of exploitation by providing positive activities. The programme aims to support 10- to 17-year-olds who are at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System and is a preventative programme. The service will incorporate sports, dance, arts and music, and work with young people who are missing school or college, starting to be reported as missing, or at risk of being drawn into criminal activity. The trauma children experience in their early life can greatly increase the risk of them being exploited or being forced to commit crime. This new service aims to draw young people away from criminals and into sports and other activities that will enrich their lives. The programme will build young people’s resilience to reduce the risk of them being exposed to criminality, and work to raise awareness around the impact of adverse childhood experiences – so young people are seen as victims of their life circumstance rather than as perpetrators of crime. The programme works one-to-one with young people, listening to what they need to create their positive future path. https://www.facebook.com/childrenssociety/ Climb – Online Referral Form https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=SOAKNBzYq06IpLdJH6ikCJHtR5a5Xn9Ks5mwiYiAUWFUMUM1VUQxN0RJMEU5N0Y2WEFKWklLWDNQSy4u The Children’s Society Website https://www.childrenssociety.org.uk/ n/a Service/Activity is Free We're sorry but <%= htmlWebpackPlugin.options.title %> doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled.
