The Shrewsbury Town Centre Residents’ Association (STCRA) was formed in 1992 to promote the interests of all who live ‘between the bridges’ and to represent those interests to local and national authorities and other organisations. The Association is committed to promoting a balance between residential, business and visitor interests which maintains the essential character of Shrewsbury and enhances the quality of life of all who live, work, or visit the town. The STCRA has a mixed programme of social and informative activities and publishes a regular newsletter, ‘In the Loop’. New members are always very welcome. Ongoing projects instigated or supported by the STCRA include: work to get all Shuts recognised and maintained campaign to highlight town centre pedestrian safety support for museums and art projects in the town centre Britain in Bloom promotion of cultural activities support for tourism projects and the enrichment of visitor experiences monitoring of planning applications, traffic control measures, licensing and the night time economy support for local independent retailers For more information, please follow the link to visit their website.
