Alateen is a part of Al-Anon. It is for teenager relatives and friends of alcoholics. It is for those teenagers aged from 12-17 whose lives have been affected by someone’s drinking, usually a parent. Young people can attend meetings to gain an understanding of the illness and feel the benefits of realising they are not alone. They can learn that they didn’t cause the problem and that they are not responsible for their relatives or friends drinking. Due to safeguarding, meeting login, and address can only be given to the young person.
