The Money Carer Foundation is a national social enterprise providing a trusted appointeeship service to protect vulnerable adults and to manage their everyday finances in line with their local partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This involves paying utility bills, care contributions, rent and dealing with a variety of other financial activity on behalf of the client. The Foundation also offers a ‘Carers’ Shopping Card’ – a fully managed service that is set up specifically to enable carers to access small amounts of money to make every day purchases or to withdraw cash on behalf of the client.
