St. Andrew’s is a mainstream primary school catering for children from within the local community. It is an inclusive school. Its friendly, family ethos provides the foundation for all children making excellent progress academically and socially. What we do: The school ensures that all children have access to good/outstanding teaching and that the curriculum is adapted to meet your child’s individual needs (also known as differentiation). The school ensures that all members of staff working with your child in school are aware of your child’s individual needs and/or conditions and what specific adjustments need to be made to enable them to be included and make progress. The school provides specialist support for teachers and support staff in the school so they can help your child (and other pupils with SEN and/or disabilities in the school) to achieve their potential. The on-site Area Children’s Centre Base supports parents and children from pre-birth to school age and beyond. The school works with a wide range of SEND professionals to ensure that accurate assessments are made and that appropriate action plans are in place.
