Coppice Leasowes Local Nature Reserve is of local importance for its variety of habitats including grasslands with wet flushes, streams, a mature deciduous woodland, hedges and a wetland area. These support many different bird, plant and invertebrate species. The underlying geology is why the reserve is particularly interesting. There is much to see and the whole reserve is open to walk through and enjoy. Church Stretton Town Council own and manage the site in partnership with a range of local voluntary organisations and interest groups.
