Set in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside, our school has provided education to children since the 1860’s. Our school is described as a Good Church School with Excellence in RE teaching. Our school is a friendly and welcoming place where we are always happy to have new members join our ‘Family’. We have our own maintained nursery too which means that we are able to cater for children from just two years old, right up to the age of eleven. Clunbury is part of the Blue Hills Federation. The school offers a breakkfast club to children in Reception to Year 6 from 8am and those in the nursery from 8.35am they also offer after school care until 5pm for children in Reception to Year 6. Our nursery is adjacent to the school offering excellent opportunities for transition. Our well trained staff provide a stimulating and creative environment. Through careful planning, children learn in a variety of ways with an emphasis on learning through play. Our setting is wheelchair friendly. A well trained SENCO regularly reviews the progress of pupils needing additional support. The nursery works with external agencies where appropriate to meet the needs of pupils. It is extremely popular and successful. ursery-age children are entitled to attend nursery for 15 hours spread over six sessions per week, all of which are funded. You can also access extra sessions which are chargeable unless you qualify for the 30 hours funding entitlement.
