The Shropshire Deaf Children’s Society (SDCS) is a countywide (Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin areas) voluntary support group for parents, friends and professionals caring for hearing-impaired children. They help by supporting children and young people with hearing impairment e.g. providing specialist equipment to improve listening in classrooms and homes. They organise a range of social activities and talks throughout the year to support parents and carers. They also provide information and helpful contacts. SDCS offers:- Information and the opportunity to share knowledge around the implications of hearing loss. A forum for parents to meet other parents and to receive support. Support and organisation for outings and other events for hearing-impaired children. Opportunities to fundraise to support the needs of children with hearing loss.
