Children attending Pontesbury CE Primary School Nursery are given every opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe and secure setting, where friendly dedicated staff provide a rich and stimulating environment, using a wide variety of resources. This gives the children confidence to enjoy and learn about the world around them. We have excellent support as part of an ‘outstanding’ primary school and have full access and use of the extensive school grounds. Our whole school ethos (grounded in Christian values) is to model positivity to the children, through instilling excellent behaviour and manners and by valuing and praising their qualities and achievements. We are vigilant about child protection and safeguarding procedures, ensuring a safe nurturing environment, bringing out the best in every child. Local Offer: We offer a warm welcome to all families from the local community and surrounding areas. We value the abilities and achievements of individual children, and are committed to providing the best possible environment for learning and development. Our purpose built premises have a secure outdoor play area and access to the school playgrounds and playing fields. Since 2015 we have become part of Pontesbury CE Primary School, ensuring our pupils receive the very best start to their school life. What we do:- Children are fully included in this ‘outstanding’ setting (Ofsted 2010). Learning through play across the Early Years Foundation curriculum, each day includes a mix of child-led and adult–led activities, stories, songs, snacks, physical and outdoor play. The nursery building consists of a large playroom on a single level, with a dedicated disabled toilet and changing facilities. The whole school building is single level with all main entrances (nursery and school) having ramped access. The Supervisor is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and NNEB; the Deputy (a fully trained SENCo) holds Qualified Teacher Status and our play leaders are Level 3 Teaching Assistants. All nursery staff hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification. Each child has a designated key person. Their role is to develop a positive relationship with you and your child to enable us to understand their strengths and needs, and plan with you to support your child’s learning and development. As part of Pontesbury CE Primary School & Nursery, we have full access to all facilities, ensuring the best possible transition for all nursery children when they start their Reception year.Registered For Nursery Grant Yes Facilities Disabled Toilet Crafts Indoor Play Area Ramps Wheelchair Access IT Facilities Emergencies (Current Children) Music and Dance Downstairs Toilet Healthy Eating Parking Quiet Area Visits/Outings Outdoor Play Area Garden Playroom Allergies Accessible Parking We're sorry but <%= htmlWebpackPlugin.options.title %> doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled.
