Telford Sailing Club is based at Proirslee Lake, near Junction 4 of the M54. It is a friendly and proactive club, providing a warm welcome and a range of sailing opportunities for all members. Two day RYA training courses are run regularly, and you don’t even need to own a boat to join, as they have a number of club boats available for loan to get you started. The clubhouse has changing rooms, toilets and a kitchen. There is also a secure, locked dinghy park and parking for members’ cars. The Club has access to the lake on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and most Sundays throughout the year. Racing usually takes place on Sundays and occasionally on Saturdays. They also arrange visits to Himley, Bala, Carsington and Clywedog at various times, as well as events in Telford where other clubs are invited to attend. Whether you are a newcomer looking to try watersports or enrol on a RYA training course, or you are a seasoned pro interested in racing and regattas, new members are always welcome, irrespective of experience.
