Variety the children charity exists to improve the lives of disabled children and young people who are living in poverty. They provide practical help that can make an immediate difference to the lives of the children, young people, parents and siblings. They can part-and-fully fund wheelchairs and specialist equipment for children and young people aged 18 and under who have a recognised disability or long-term health condition from available grants. All of their grants enable children and young people to develop greater independence, support their physical or social development or help to ensure that their care needs are better met. In doing so, they also contribute to improving a child’s wellbeing and improving their self-esteem.
