Shropshire Council has a statutory duty to support parents/carers with home-to-school travel assistance for those pupils of compulsory school age (5-16) who have a statement of special educational needs (SEN) or education, health and care plan (EHCP). Once a placement has been secured at a nursery/school/college your application will need to be assessed by the specialist travel team. Once assessed, a member of the team will contact you about the decision and offer advice on what options would potentially be available to you.Where assessed as appropriate a bus pass for use on an existing school bus or on a relevant public transport route will be issued to the pupil.
