The Embroiderers’ Guild is a well-known and respected education charity. Founded over 100 years ago, it exists to promote, preserve and protect all aspects of embroidery. The Guild holds museum status and owns an extensive and important collection of embroideries from all over the world. Monthly meetings of the Oswestry and District Branch are held at the Memorial Hall, usually on the third Friday of the month, at 10am. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in textiles, and new members and visitors always most welcome. The branch programme includes talks or demonstrations on a wide variety of embroidery and related topics. There are occasional Friday afternoon workshops and Saturday day schools, and there is also a Junior group who meet once a month. For more information, please contact using the details provided.
