The Whitchurch Museum and Archives Group meet every Tuesday and Thursday, from 11am to 4pm, plus the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 1pm at Whitchurch Heritage Centre. They are seeking new volunteers to carry out a diverse range of tasks. These include: data-processing, cataloguing donations, creating displays, cleaning dirty documents, labelling artefacts, filing, photographing, environmental monitoring, and dusting exhibits. Stewards are also required to meet and greet visitors to the Heritage Centre. No long-term commitment is required nor previous experience. In-house training will be given and there are opportunities to attend one day professional courses. If you are interested in joining please contact them.
