Coleham Pumping Station is a preserved steam operated sewage pumping station with two operational beam engines and lots of small mechanical exhibits. The museum comprises the Pumping Station buildings, which are listed with English Heritage as being of architectural importance, and in-situ beam-engines plus other items belonging to Shrewsbury Steam Trust. The Pumping Station is owned by Shrewsbury Museums Service (part of Shropshire Council), and is opened to the public on selected dates during the year by members of the Shrewsbury Steam Trust.
