The aims of the West and Midlands Iris Group, and of the British Iris Society, are to foster knowledge and growing of all kinds of Irises. The WMIG holds regular meetings, shows, plant sales and garden visits. Some of these activities take place in or near Shropshire, but the group does cover a wider area.
