Shropshire Feeding Tube Friendship and Support Group is a support group for adults aged 16+ years living in Shropshire, who have any type of feeding tube. The aim of the group is to allow users to give and receive practical and emotional support, by providing a forum where you can chat about all things relating to feeding tube life, asking questions, and sharing tips and things that work for you. The group also aims to connect people living locally to help reduce isolation and build friendships with others either online and by meeting socially if they wish. Family members can join on behalf of a close family member with a feeding tube if they’re unable to join themself; however the group is primarily to enable interaction of those with a feeding tube. Upon joining members are encouraged to introduce themself with a short post giving a little information, together with a general indication of which part of Shropshire they live in.
