Oswestry & Borders Repair Café offers a free meeting place where you can take broken items from home, and find the tools, materials, and expert volunteers to help you make any repairs needed, on items such as bicycles, clothes, crockery, electrical appliances, furniture, toys, etc. It is held at the Memorial Hall, on the second Saturday of January, March, May, July, October and December, from 12noon to 3pm, and provides an ongoing learning process, as well as the opportunity to get inspired at the reading table, by leafing through books on repairs and DIY. In order to remain Covid safe, they now operate a booking system; please email using the address provided at least a week before the event, to book a slot.
