OCD-UK is the leading national charity dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of almost one million people in the UK whose lives are affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), by providing evidence-based information, advice and support. The charity works for both children and adults with OCD, and is completely service-user led, by people with personal experience of OCD. They work to help health professionals and members of the public to increase their understanding of OCD, and also with researchers to help reduce the effect of OCD on those living with the illness. It is their belief that everyone affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder should receive the most appropriate and the highest quality standards of care, support and treatment. OCD-UK also offer free online support groups twice each week, facilitated by staff and volunteers with lived experience, which provide a place to share experiences and exchange recovery focussed ideas.
