The Patients Association is an independent patient charity campaigning for improvements in health and social care for patients in the UK. Anyone can join the Patients Association to help it campaign and membership is free. The purpose of the charity is to ensure everybody can access and benefit from the health and care they need to live well, by ensuring that services are designed and delivered through equal partnership with patients. The Patients Association also provides a help and information service to anyone who needs advice on health and social care. There is a free phone helpline staffed by dedicated helpline advisers who are able to answer questions about health or social care, and signpost callers to other sources of help or information.
