The Shropshire Mental Health Support Well-being Bus supports rural communities in Shropshire. Run each week with a team of staff and volunteers, the vehicle will supply leaflets and information about other support, and staff will be available to talk with people and offer support and signposting. Shropshire Mental Health Support is a registered charity working with volunteers to support people experiencing mental or emotional distress, helping people to bridge the gap between illness and full independence. Before Covid the charity hosted weekly groups in Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Market Drayton and Whitchurch. However, since Covid, Shropshire Mental Health Support has seen a rise in mental health challenges and currently offers telephone support to around 500 people, as well as other much needed, well-utilised groups and services that anyone living in Shropshire can access. With the Well-being Bus they hope to extend their range to include those harder to reach communities within rural Shropshire. For more information, please follow the link to visit their website. Please note: The Well-being Bus is a new service, which is due to be launched in October / November this year.
