Listening Horse is a community interest company offering Equine Facilitated Mental Health Services combined with physical activities to adults, children, and young people of any background, supporting clients with a vast range of mental health and additional needs. Adult clients aged 19+ have the option to choose between Equine Facilitated Psychotraumatology (EFPT) or Equine Facilitated Learning sessions (EFL). Children and young people aged between 7 and 18 can choose between Equine Enrichment (EE) or Equine Facilitated Learning sessions (EFL) on either a short or long-term basis. Each session is tailored to the individual or group needs and promotes development of a vast range of skills such as emotional regulation, communication and team work. The sessions are experiential, combining somatic (in the body) and cognitive (talkative) work where the outcome is reflected upon and discussed to embed the change.
