Oswestry and North Shropshire Model Engineering Society meet at Oswestry Showground, on the second Sunday of each month, from 11am until 4pm, and also on the fourth Sunday from May to September. Model steam locomotives and diesel outline locomotives are operational during these times. In addition, members of the Society meet every Tuesday from 10am until 4pm to carry out maintenance work on the track and site. They also enjoy a few cups of tea and coffee while discussing various topics. The Society also meet socially at the White Lion, Whittington on the second Wednesday of each month, from 7.30pm.
