The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) is a UK-wide charity working to support families with a child with an acquired brain injury (ABI) this includes children who have had an accident causing traumatic brain injury, or an illness such as meningitis, encephalitis, brain tumour or stroke, ( but not birth injuries). They have an informative website, a listening ear to help with practical and emotional issues, small grants for children with ABI and their siblings, training days, conferences, support groups and publications.
