Our Space offer person-centred day opportunity support to adults with learning disabilities and older people, including people with dementia, in two separate groups:Ellesmere Opportunities Group supports adults with learning disabilities to achieve personal goals such as involvement in their own hobbies and interests, accessing courses for personal development, and engaging in employment opportunities. Each person is encouraged to have input into the service, and their views and opinions are regularly sought.The Ellesmere Friendship Group offers social contact for older people, providing daily activities such as arts and crafts, quizzes and games, cooking, and developing independence skills, as well as lots of community interaction and also trips out to local areas of interest.Day opportunities support can enable people to remain in their own homes reducing the need for potential admission to residential settings, and also gives carer respite where needed.Managed by Bethphage, a Shropshire based charity, the experienced staff team are fully trained to deliver high quality support in areas such as personal care, medication administration.
