Shrewsbury Dial-a-Ride is a fully accessible transport service operating within a ten mile radius of Shrewsbury town centre. If you do not have the use of a car or you find it difficult or even impossible to use public transport, then this is the service for you. Shrewsbury Dial-a-Ride operates as a membership service. For individuals there is an annual membership fee of £20 to join, and once you are a member, each trip costs £2 (with a bus pass) or £3.50 (without a bus pass). A trip is one-way, so a return would be £4 (with a bus pass) or £7 (without a bus pass). Group membership is also available for clubs or societies who would find it useful to hire a bus for outings. Joining as a group costs £30 per year, and then each trip is calculated at a rate per mile. The Dial-a-Ride service: operates Monday to Friday: 8.45am to 3.30pm; is able to help people with mobility difficulties, both registered and temporarily disabled; provides a friendly door-to-door service; requires all journeys to be booked in advance; offers a priority booking service for journeys required for medical purposes; requires members to be flexible about all non-urgent journey times; and ensures that all drivers are fully trained and CRB checked. Dial-a-Ride also provides a regular programme of Sunday lunches. For more information, please follow the link to visit their website, or contact using the details provided. Dial-a-Ride also provides a range of training for assistive transport staff: MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) PATS (Passenger Assistant Training Scheme) Both schemes offer full training and certification, both for Dial-a-Ride and other organisations. 01743 450350 07891 094901 https://www.facebook.com/Shrewsbury-Dial-a-Ride-1646991985524263/timeline/ We're sorry but <%= htmlWebpackPlugin.options.title %> doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled.
