Sixth form at Severndale is an exciting place to be for post 16 students. Students continue to learn in diversity groups but the curriculum looks very different to the curriculum a young person will have accessed lower down the school as their young people are preparing for adulthood and the next stage in their life. One of the key aims for all learners at Severndale is that they go on to lead purposeful and meaningful lives when they leave. The primary purposes of the 16-19 provision is to prepare learners for their future destinations. Typically students will be progressing towards one of the following pathways at post 19: • Paid Employment • Further education leading to paid employment (requiring accreditation to access) • Further education leading to paid employment (not requiring accreditation to access) • Further education leading to voluntary work (not requiring accreditation to access) • Adult Social Care The post 16 provision is hosted across two sites. The Monkmoor Campus and the London Road campus. Typically those pursuing accredited qualifications will access provision at London Road, whilst those pursuing non-accredited pathways will access provision at Monkmoor.
