Shropshire Philatelic Society is a society for both collectors and non-collectors with an interest in stamps, postcards, postal history and postal stationery. Meetings are held at Bayston Hill Memorial Hall on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, at 7.30pm (from September through to May). Please note that during January and February, all four meetings start at 2.30pm. Visitors are most welcome to attend any meeting to see and talk about what the Society offers. Founded in 1947, the Society also holds an Annual Fair in Shrewsbury each October, which is attended by around 18 dealers, and entry is free to Society members. They have an active membership who display some of their own material, as well as a programme of external speakers, an annual competition and joint meetings with similar Societies. For more information, or to confirm the time and topic of the next meeting, please pick-up a programme list from Shrewsbury Library, or contact the Secretary using the details provided.
