Anita offers a person centred approach which allows the client to guide the session. Working with children from the aged of 5, she uses a combination of play therapy and talking therapy and often work using metaphors and stories. This approach enables younger children to think about and understand their feelings and emotions in a non-direct, safe and easily digestible way. Anita has worked with children, young people and adults who have been affected by bereavement, loss, abuse, domestic abuse, self-harm, anxiety, stress, sexuality, self-identity, self-esteem, friendships, relationships, family difficulties, depression, self-injury, suicidal feelings and thoughts and more. She aims to enable the child, young person or adult to explore themselves and work through their own processes so that they might make the right choices for themselves.
