Brainwave is a charity that exists to help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence. Aiming to improve mobility, communication skills, and learning potential, through a range of educational and physical therapies, their therapist works with the family to devise a unique programme, specifically designed to suit that child’s needs, which will help and encourage them to unlock their own child’s potential. Brainwave is committed to bringing improvements to the lives of children with physical, sensory, learning, cognitive and behavioural difficulties. Brainwave work with children with a wide range of conditions and developmental needs, including, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, down’s syndrome, autism and developmental delay. GrantsTherapy Access FundOur Therapy Access Fund (TAF) has been implemented to help families access our vital services. Charitable trusts and other supporters have generously donated funds specifically for our TAF so that most families only need to pay a small deposit.You will just need to fill in information about your income on the enquiry form – you do not need to provide evidence of this.What it costs youFees – if your household income is less than £70,000 per annum:You will only pay a £50 deposit for your child’s initial assessment or reassessment; our TAF will cover the rest.
