Wistanstow Under Fives is in the heart of rural Shropshire, and benefits from making the most of where we are. We run nature school once a week but get outside in the fields, farms, local village and playground daily. Our setting has wheelchair access and is all on one level for easy accessibility, we have a sensory sand room which is very popular and gives our SEN children a place that is quiet yet stimulating. We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements and illnesses and are happy to accommodate any needs. The nursery week is filled with outside activities in all weathers, cooking, music and crafts. Local offer: We offer training at any level for members of staff in regards to SEN and mental health, we as a team constantly search for new ways to educate ourselves and put that into practice so we can cater for any illnesses, disabilities and mental health conditions. We work alongside the local authority to provide care plans, and provide support to families looking to gain more knowledge, we have sent referrals for children and put plans for their education and support in place. We are wheelchair accessible as we are all on one level and have a separate sensory sand room which is filled with different textures, lights and music. We also offer general family support and will work alongside the council, charities and practitioners.
